A Choir Service!
Watch the service HERE. Unitarians began including hymns regularly in worship in the mid 1800’s (mostly psalms set to music back then). In the 200 plus years that have followed, our hymnody has reflected an evolving and broadening theology, our merger with the Universalists, a deeper dive into social justice, and a wide variety of musical styles and themes. This morning, we’ll explore why and what we sing! How can we keep from singing? Our wonderful choir will sing beautiful settings to four of our most popular hymns. Rev. Robin Landerman Zucker preaching, a reflection entitled “Why I Sing,” by Worship Leader Jean Weigant, and a Time for all Ages from Tara Toler. Music from Mary Reese and the Sunrise Choir, under the direction of Tyler Perez.
