You can watch past Sunday services on YouTube to get a sense of what worship is like at Eastrose.
We owe our new A/V capabilities to a generous Chalice Lighters Grant, received in 2021-2022.
No two services are alike
…but elements of a typical Sunday morning service may include:
- Words of welcome
- Everyone shouts “good morning” when prompted
- Lighting the chalice, the symbol of our faith
- A multigenerational segment, such as a “story for all ages”
- Several pieces of music, both instrumental and vocal and in a variety of styles
- A time for lifting up the joys and concerns of the congregation
- A meditation or prayer
- Readings—ancient or contemporary
- A sermon given by one of our ministers, a guest speaker, or a member of the congregation
- An offering, collecting financial donations for the congregation or for justice work in the community
From time to time, worship services incorporate holiday celebrations or other special themes.
