Rev. John Hasenjaeger, a liberal Presbyterian minister and former teacher of Philosophy and Religion at Mt. Hood Community College, has spoken at Eastrose several times since 2007. He has often introduced us to ideas and figures from his studies that enrich and challenge us in our spiritual journeys. But as he approaches his 80th birthday this month, he’s decided he needs to draw together his own thoughts about “life, the universe, and everything,” in case that’s helpful to anyone else! Rev. John Hasenjaeger preaching with Worship Leader Jan Apland-Curtis. Music from Mary Reese and a Time for All Ages with Tara Toler.
John Hasenjaeger is a retired minister and teacher of Philosophy and Religion living on the eastside of Portland with his wife Sharon. They have three children and two grandsons, all living within a few miles. And they all seem to like each other, which is one sign of success in life. John enjoys auditing classes at PSU, right now in German, riding his e-bike, singing in choirs, and meeting up with friends for a beer or a coffee.
