First Sunday Vegan Potluck

Every first Sunday of the month, Eastrose hosts a relaxed, family friendly potluck meal after service. On October 6 our potluck will be VEGAN. What can you bring? If you have favorite plant-based side dish, bring it to the vegan potluck. This could be something simple, like a fruit salad or baked beans.

Health-promoting vegan food includes fruits, vegetables, beans, grains, nuts, seeds, and legumes. It’s all plant-based—free of all animal products, including dairy, eggs, meat, poultry, and seafood; and free of animal byproducts, like whey, casein, lactose, and gelatin (often found in processed foods). If you need specific ideas about what to bring, search for “vegan recipes” or “whole-food, plant-based recipes” or try one of these sites – Dr. Fuhrman or Chef AJ. Additional recipes can be found at Hello Nutritarian, Forks Over Knives, Well Your World, Plant Based Recipes and Universal Meals.

There is always plenty of food to go around, so you’re welcome and invited even if you don’t have anything to bring!
